Back to Work & Upcoming Events

Jake Wyman

September 2008

It's the middle of Labor Day Weekend, and after a spirited and productive Board Meeting this past Tuesday night, it's time for all of us to get back to work!
What's next?

On October 2nd, we'll host another one of our always-successful and much-anticipated Pixels & Pints Events at the Bertucci's in Newington. Bring images to show, and you eat free pizza! You can be sure that you'll receive more detailed information, and you can always check the CT-ASMP website for directions and updates regarding future Pixels & Pints Events around CT.

This next one is going to be great!

Last Fall, during SB-2 in Philadelphia, one of the most informative and intelligent seminars that I attended with fellow Board Members Ken Wilder and Jim Fiora, was "Taking Control of Your Business" with past ASMP President, Judy Hermann.  I am happy to announce that we will be hosting Judy on October 27th, 2008 in Linsley-Chittenden Hall at Yale University. Again, check the CT-ASMP website for directions and updates.

From the National website:

Judy Herrmann of Herrmann+Starke will share real-world tactics for developing and implementing a plan that will take your career where you want it to go. You'll learn how to achieve your creative and financial goals, anticipate and adapt to business and technological change, and build a satisfying and stable photography business. Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, the tools and techniques shown in this program will give you greater control over your future.

This Program is so new that it has not been hosted by any other Chapter, but trust me when I tell you that this will turn out to be a very popular program, especially considering the current uncertain business climate and economy. It was fantastic, and so was Judy! Don't miss it.

Also, please remember that each of these events and programs require help in planning, producing and executing, and we cannot do it without help from volunteers. (In some instances we actually can grant free admission, in exchange for your help.)
We need you.

Contact me if you are willing and able to get involved.

Have a great weekend & I look forward  to seeing you soon.
