Burns Auto Parts offers a creative assignment opportunity

Each month,  Leslie Burns-Dell'Acqua , owner of Burns Auto Parts in San Diego, California, posts a creative exercise for photographers on her blog. It's a great way to see how many different ways we as photographers interpret a concept visually. Her assignment  for January was "Peace," and of the eight images submitted, no two were even close, visually.

So, why accept the challenge of a company called Burns Auto Parts? Well, it was the name of the business Leslie Burns-Dell'Acqua's  grandfather  owned and she liked it, which says a lot about her. She is actually a no holds barred, gut level marketing consultant to the creative industry, particularly photographers. She has a refreshing, no-nonsense presentation style that was a necessary wakeup call for photographers at ASMP's SB2 weekend.

Leslie is also a blogger, author, and producer of Creative Lube podcasts, a subscription service that focuses on implementing common sense business and marketing practices for creatives. She helps artists find their vision, develop portfolios, and hone their negotiating and business management skills.

So, read the assignment and send her an image that you think visually articulates the message. She will post the entries on the blog and open the door for comments.
