Exhibit & Silent Auction for Haiti

Picture Hope for Haiti

Yes, you can help. A collaboration of Fairfield County photographers is holding a photography exhibit and silent auction to benefit Doctors Without Borders serving in Haiti. Photographers who want to participate are asked to submit framed prints for auction on Tuesday, March 2, 2010. The auction will be held at Chez Jean Pierre Restaurant, 181 Bedford Street, Stamford, Connecticut. Proceeds from the auction will go directly to Doctors Without Borders.

A donation of $25 will be accepted to attend the auction. Hors d'oeuvres, canapes, and a complimentary glass of wine will be available. And, of course, Chez Jean Pierre Restaurant is taking reservations at (203) 357-9526 for dinner following the auction.

"We have plenty of wall space so we're asking that everything be framed (matted as well if you choose to do so) with wire for hanging.  There is a great mix of photographers participating; photojournalist, commercial shooters, fine art photographers, travel & documentary with all sizes being donated," according to Kathy O'Rourke, who is organizing the auction.

For further information, email Kathleen O'Rourke , or call her at (203) 353-9601. All donated pieces need to be delivered to her office at The Advocate in Stamford by February 22.
